Test load

Trial load on grandstand – load-bearing capacity tests before commissioning of spectator facilities

What is a load test for grandstands?

A load test is a structural load test in which the grandstand, or a part thereof, is subjected to a defined load to confirm its actual load-bearing capacity. It is carried out when structural analyses alone are insufficient or when there are specific requirements from authorities or insurance companies. The load test is supervised and documented by a certified structural engineer.

Load tests in Bender projects

Bender conducts load tests when required by authorities or deemed appropriate for unusual configurations. These tests are performed by qualified personnel under the supervision of an accredited testing engineer. Results are documented in the test log. Load tests provide additional safety and documentation for regulatory authorities.

When is a load test required?

Load tests are typically carried out on newly constructed special structures, at the order of authorities, or in particularly critical load ranges.

Implementation and documentation

The load test is performed with defined test loads. Deformations are measured and compared with the calculated values. The result is recorded in the test log.
