Standing terrace
Rent or buy standing terraces – maximum capacity for concerts, festivals and sporting events
What is a standing terrace?
A standing terrace is a spectator area without seats, where visitors stand. It offers the highest occupancy density and therefore the greatest capacity for a given space requirement. Standing terraces are popular at concerts, festivals, and football matches, where a lively atmosphere created by dense crowds is desired. They are designed for particularly high loads and equipped with wave breakers as a safety feature.
Bender standing terraces – combining safety and atmosphere
Bender supplies standing terraces designed for standard load capacities of 5.0 kN/m² and above. The supporting structure is correspondingly robust. Wave breakers divide the standing area into safe sections and prevent pressure points. Surfaces are equipped with slip-resistant coatings. Bender standing terraces meet all requirements of DIN EN 13200 and the German Ordinance on Places of Assembly (VStättVO).
Payload and static design
The high density of people in standing terraces necessitates robust supporting structures. Bender designs standing terraces with sufficient safety margins and takes into account dynamic load components caused by stomping and collective movements.
Wavebreakers as mandatory equipment
In standing terraces, wave breakers are mandatory above a certain depth. They limit the maximum number of people per sector and are designed for standard impact loads. Bender integrates wave breakers as a standard element.
