Rigging point
Rigging point grandstand – statically tested suspension points for stage technology from Bender
What is a rigging point in grandstand construction?
A rigging point is a statically tested suspension point on the grandstand structure, used for attaching stage equipment – loudspeakers, lighting elements, projectors. It must safely support the weight of the suspended equipment and any additional dynamic loads. Rigging points are dimensioned as part of the structural stability analysis.
Rigging points in the Bender system
Bender Tribünen can integrate rigging points into the grandstand system if sound or lighting equipment is to be attached directly to the structure. The rigging points are individually dimensioned according to the requirements of the event technology and documented in the structural stability analysis. Coordination with the rigging service provider takes place early in the planning phase.
Load specifications for rigging points
The maximum permissible load and load direction are specified for each rigging point. This information is binding for the rigging service provider.
Safety factors in rigging
Rigging points are designed with increased safety factors because failure would have serious consequences. Bender sets safety factors according to the requirements of IGVW SQ P2 (Guideline for Lifting Equipment).
