Parapet
Grandstand railing – standard-compliant fall protection on front edges and outer areas
What is a parapet in grandstand construction?
A parapet is a solid or grid-like barrier at the front edge of a grandstand or along side exterior walls. It protects spectators from falling and simultaneously provides a visual boundary. Parapets can also be used as advertising space. Standard heights and load-bearing capacities are identical to those for railings.
Balustrade solutions from Bender grandstands
Bender offers balustrade elements that integrate seamlessly into the modular grandstand system. They are made of aluminum or steel, dimensioned according to standards, and designed to withstand impact loads according to DIN EN 13200. The balustrade surfaces can be covered with advertising banners – a highly desirable area within camera and viewing field of view.
Balustrade as advertising space
Grandstand railings within the camera's field of view are highly sought-after advertising spaces. Bender coordinates the installation of advertising banners and ensures that the fastening does not damage the structure.
Standard-compliant parapet heights
The minimum height of parapets is 1.00 m at the front edge. Higher requirements may apply to elevated outdoor areas. Bender designs all parapets according to current standards.
