Operating instructions
Operating instructions for the grandstand – Rules of use for safe grandstand operation at events
What is an operating instruction for grandstands?
Operating instructions describe all rules and procedures for the safe operation of the grandstands. They are addressed to the event organizer's staff and regulate admission control, capacity monitoring, measures to be taken in case of overcrowding, and procedures in emergencies. These operating instructions are an integral part of the officially required safety concept.
Operating instructions as a Bender service

These instructions explain all relevant aspects of grandstand operation to security personnel and technical staff and can be developed in coordination with authorities and the fire department.
Contents of a grandstand operating manual
Typical content includes: maximum capacity, measures to be taken in case of overcrowding, locations of escape routes and fire brigade access roads, emergency contact numbers and rules of conduct for visitors.
Training of security personnel
The operating instructions are only as good as the staff training. Bender will provide support upon request with instruction on the technical features of the grandstand.
