Modularity

Modular grandstand systems – combinable components for individual spectator facilities from Bender

What does modularity mean in grandstand construction?

Modularity describes the property of a system to consist of defined, standardized components that can be freely combined. A modular grandstand system can be built from identical basic components, ranging from small structures to large grandstands with thousands of seats. No custom manufacturing is required, and every configuration is possible – from a simple seating stand to a complete Olympic Arena.

Bender's modular system – flexibility as a principle

Bender's grandstand system is consistently modular in design. Every component – support tubes, crossbeams, decking elements, railing panels, stair towers, and roof structures – is system-compatible. Seated grandstands, standing grandstands, arenas, stages, and camera platforms can all be built from the same parts inventory. This modularity forms the basis for the cost-effective reuse of all components.

Advantages of modularity for event organizers

Maximum planning flexibility: Capacities can be adjusted at short notice, and stands can be expanded or reduced. Changes to the event concept do not require new construction, but only a different combination of components.

Economic efficiency through modularity

Reusing all components eliminates waste disposal costs. The modular system pays for itself quickly and offers consistently high value across numerous events.
