M-FlBauR

M-FlBauR – Model Guideline for Temporary Grandstands and Event Structures in Germany

What is the M-FlBauR?

The M-FlBauR (Model Temporary Structures Directive) is a German set of regulations governing the construction, operation, and approval of temporary structures. It forms the basis for state building codes and defines the conditions under which temporary structures such as grandstands and stages may be erected and operated. Key aspects include the requirement for a logbook, proof of structural stability, and the erection permit.

M-FlBauR in practice – Bender knows all the requirements

Bender Tribünen works daily with the requirements of the M-FlBauR (Model Airfield Construction Regulations). All mobile grandstands, stages, and special structures from Bender are approved as temporary structures and have current inspection certificates. The Bender team supports event organizers in obtaining site-specific setup permits and coordinates communication with authorities. This significantly reduces the administrative burden on event organizers.

Inspection log requirements and inspections

The M-FlBauR (Model Aircraft Construction Regulations) stipulates that an inspection log must be kept for every temporary structure. Bender maintains these logs meticulously and presents them at every erection. Regular inspections by accredited testing engineers are standard practice.

Country-specific differences

Since the M-FlBauR is a model law, the state-specific implementations differ slightly. Bender is familiar with state-specific requirements and ensures that all constructions comply with the applicable regulations.
