Grating
Grating as grandstand flooring – non-slip gratings for technical areas and special requirements
What is a grating used in grandstand construction?
A grating is a walkable element made of steel or aluminum, consisting of a grid of transverse and longitudinal bars. Its profiled surface provides slip resistance, and it is lightweight and easy to maintain. In grandstand construction, gratings are primarily used in technical aisles, front-of-house towers, and camera platforms, where water drainage and high load-bearing capacity are essential.
Grating in the Bender portfolio
Bender offers grating as a flooring option for specific areas. It is compatible with the modular grandstand system and can be easily integrated. Steel grating is particularly robust for technical areas with heavy equipment. Aluminum grating is lighter and corrosion-resistant for permanent outdoor use.
Advantages in technical fields
Rainwater can drain through the grating without forming puddles. The open structure allows for good ventilation and facilitates cable routing.
Load capacity for heavy equipment
Grating in technical areas must be designed to support sound and lighting equipment. Bender calculates the required load-bearing capacity and selects the appropriate grating type.
