Fall protection

Fall protection for grandstands – standard-compliant protection at edges and openings from Bender

What is a fall protection system for grandstands?

Fall protection systems protect visitors and installation personnel from falls at raised edges, openings, and ledges. These include railings, parapets, and safety nets. The obligation to install fall protection systems arises from state building codes, the German Ordinance on Places of Assembly (VStättVO), and DIN EN 13200. Standard requirements regarding height, bar spacing, and load-bearing capacity must be strictly adhered to.

Fall protection as standard at Bender grandstands

Bender grandstands integrate standard-compliant fall protection systems as a standard component of every configuration. All outer edges, stairways, and elevated platforms are equipped with certified railings. The railings are designed to withstand standard impact loads according to DIN EN 13200. No grandstand leaves the Bender warehouse without complete fall protection equipment. All elements are documented in the structural stability analysis.

Railing heights and bar spacing

Railings must be at least 1.00 m high, and up to 1.10 m in exposed locations. The maximum spacing between bars is 12 cm. Bender complies with all standards.

Safety certificates for fall protection systems

All fall protection elements are documented in the structural stability report and inspected by an accredited testing engineer. Complete documentation is always provided to Bender customers.
