Audience management

Audience management at events – targeted visitor guidance for safety and order

What is meant by audience guidance?

Crowd management refers to all measures for the orderly and safe guidance of visitor flows. This includes physical guidance through access routes, barriers and barriers, signage and wayfinding, as well as the positioning of security personnel. Good crowd management prevents congestion, minimizes the risk of accidents, and ensures a positive visitor experience.

Audience management as part of the Bender grandstand planning

Bender considers crowd flow as early as the planning phase. The arrangement of entrances and exits, the width of access routes, the placement of stair towers and spectator walkways are chosen to ensure that visitor flows move naturally and without congestion. Narrow areas and intersections are mitigated through structural measures.

Barrier-free access routes

Barrier-free access for wheelchair users, elderly visitors, and families with strollers is an important aspect of visitor management. Bender is planning a barrier-free access route for each grandstand that will function even during peak visitor times.

Coordination with permitting authorities

The public flow concept must be coordinated with the security concept and submitted to the authorities. Bender assists in its creation and coordinates the consultation with authorities and the police.
