Accessibility

Rent or buy accessible grandstands – wheelchair-accessible seating for every event

What does accessibility mean for grandstands?

Accessibility in spectator facilities means that all visitors – regardless of physical limitations – can use the stands safely and independently. This includes wheelchair-accessible seating at ground level, sufficiently wide access routes and maneuvering areas, barrier-free entrances without steps or obstacles, and accessible restrooms. Accessibility is not an optional extra, but a legal requirement.

Accessibility as standard at Bender grandstands

Bender Tribünen integrates accessible elements as a standard part of every design. The portfolio includes special wheelchair ramps that seamlessly connect to the grandstand system, as well as dedicated wheelchair spaces with unobstructed views of the event. Planning is always carried out in accordance with the German Ordinance on Places of Assembly (VStättVO) and DIN EN 13200, which defines specific minimum dimensions for accessible areas. Companions can sit in regular seats directly next to the wheelchair space.

Wheelchair ramps and barrier-free access

Bender supplies custom-made wheelchair ramps compatible with the modular grandstand system. The ramps are equipped with non-slip surfaces and handrails on both sides. Wheelchair spaces are located on a single level, without thresholds or other obstacles.

Legal requirements and documentation

The number of accessible spaces is determined by the total capacity and country-specific regulations. Bender provides support for standards-compliant planning and documentation for authorities and permitting bodies.
