Access system

Grandstand access system – orderly access to spectator facilities with Bender grandstands

What is an access system for grandstands?

The access system encompasses all structural elements that allow visitors access to the stands and their seats: stair towers, access stairs, wheelchair ramps, access arches, doors, and pathways in the outdoor area. A well-planned access system ensures smooth entry even with very high visitor numbers and also serves as an escape route.

Bender access systems – thoughtfully designed from the start

Bender plans the access system as an integral part of the overall grandstand design. The number and width of the entrances, the position of the stair towers, accessible ramps, and the pathways are designed to ensure a smooth and orderly flow of visitors. The access system is coordinated with the evacuation plan, so that entrances can also be used as escape routes.

Stair towers as central access axes

Stair towers form the central access routes to the upper tiers of the stands. Bender supplies stair towers in various heights with standard-compliant handrails and stair widths.

Barrier-free access as a requirement

Every access system must include at least one barrier-free access point. Bender integrates wheelchair ramps and level access points as a standard component of every grandstand design.
