Bender-Tribünen was once more able to demonstrate its power of innovation. We developed temporary stadium seating for the Dresden stadium for the Women’s Football World Cup 2011. We had to transform 10,000 standing places into seats.
The special challenge here was in installing no plugs in the horizontal concrete surfaces and only a few in the vertical surfaces. Thanks to our experience from similar projects in Duisburg, Nuremberg and Freiburg we were able to offer an unbeatable solution.
Another challenge was the fact that the Church Congress was held in the Dresden Stadium during the conversion and that disassembly of the seats had to start immediately after the final whistle of the last group match.
